The World's English Mania

OUR PROJECT :) Liking what you see: A Documentary

Hello everybody,
Let's get started with our project based on the short story Liking what you see: A Documentary.

Well, first of all make sure you get the story itself! It's included in Ted Chiang's book Stories of Your Life and Others. You might be familiar with this author if you have seen the film The Arrival.
If you love paper books, there's a really low-priced paperback edition. You can also get the kindle version  if you are more of an ebook lover ;)

start...

"Although she has been teaching now for some eight years, on and off, although she enjoys it, feels she's good at it, and would like to go on doing it for the rest of her life if possible, she always feels a twinge of anxiety at the beginning of a new term.

This does not disturb her self-confidence; a good teacher, like a good actress, should not be immune from stage fright."

What's the most important?

Do you remember the Chinese girl's main motivation to learn English?
(click on play button to listen)

Motivation plays a very important role, of course. But there are other aspects related to language learning as well. How would you order the following aspects? Would you add any other points?

1. MOTIVATION
2. READING AND LISTENING TO ENGLISH
3. ENJOY LEARNING
4. A GOOD TEACHER
5. BEING CONFIDENT
6. HARD WORK
7. STUDYING GRAMMAR

(This order is my own opinion)
